obtaining a working visa in UAE
 

Hi,

Sorry for my laziness in advance...., i know you have all the embassy links etc for info on visas, but i just want a straight answer and you guys seem quite good at giving them....If i come out to Dubai on a normal UK 3 month tourist visa and i find a job, will the company i work for sort me out a visa or will i have to do it myself?

Also, are there any restrictions on who is eligible for a working visa, or likewise any criteria which you must fulfill? (I am hoping to live in Dubai for 1-2yrs)

Basically, my boyfriend has already secured a job in Dubai and i don't wanna go out there with him and get settled only to get kicked out!!

Hello lazy emmy23! :D

Welcome to the site. lol

It is the company's full reponsibility to obtain a residence visa (what you call a work visa) for you once get a job with them. You do not have to obtain it yerself. The residence visa is valid for 3 years and permits u to work for that company and reside in Dubai. :)
