According to reports, the Kuwaiti employer confessed that she and her husband maltreated the maid on a daily basis. omg, that's awful...

our next door but one neighbours are kuwaiti...they have 3 maids (who have to share one tiny room) plus a driver, and they aren't allowed out of the house on their own or a day off...beggars belief...

Really are these people so lazy that they require so many staff, and they work long hours, very little money and then treated like Shxt.

My missus got offered a really good job in Kuwait, but I don't fancy living over there like.

The Middle East (in general) still retains a slave holder mentality. They think nothing off treating people from certain races/nationalities/skin colour like property.

Read a BBC article on how Iraqis descended from Black servants and slaves are still to this day called "Abd", which in Arabic means servant or slave. During the last Israel-Hez war, the BBC was reporting on how Asian labourers were forced to work in the fields by Israelis even as Hezbollah was shooting off rockets. The BBC also mentioned that in Lebanon, Asian workers and housemaids were racially mistreated/abused and the war worse on them because many of the locals didn't care a whit about helping them.
