Dad had a 911 and a Range Rover. He could only drive one a day and his office was just under 1.5 miles away from home.
Neither were a waste of money.

FYI - Sergio cars has a 2009 GLK with 1 year warranty and only 49KM on the clock for 90k AED which seemed like a good deal - the showroom is behind Al Tayers motors on Sheikh Zayed Road if that helps - sales man name was Raffi.

I test drove an SRT 8 in Qatar last month. The thing scared the sh1t out of me when it started up - such a ferrocious exhaust note!
I ended up opting for an ML63 AMG which is comparatively more refined however my first bill was 22,000 QAR as parts of the air suspension needed replacing.
I'd reccomend going for a newer car at the expense of not having the top spec gas guzzling tyre shredder you're hankering after. That's my head talking. If it were my heart i'd say go for the Dodge!

Personally I'd buy new. I've been here almost 5 years now and can't even start to tell you about the problems my friends and colleagues have had with second hand cars. Also trying to deal with the used car sales people here is impossible, nothing has service history and everything is banged up.
Save the headache and stump up for a new car with a warranty and a service plan or you'll regret it in the long run.
