So Qatar instigated it's new visa requirements on 1st May ....err no : it's still possible to get a visa on arrival for a UK passport holder resident in UAE as I found yesterday morning when I landed and her today....

Does any one know what is happening with Oman ?

Any UAE residence visa peeps been in recently from Dubai by plane or car WITHOUT the official visa from the embassy - like it has always been at Hatta with a UAE exit ->pay the dues and get Omani visa ?

Article in the National last week suggested only executives could get in on a tourist visa, all us "sales" or "office clerks" UAE residents would be refused entry and should get a visa from the Embassy in Muscat.

Cannot find anything sensible from the Omani Embassy in AbDab and don't really want to book my flight this weekend if I won't get in. Have driven many times, nervous about that too.
