Default New Labour Law Re: Employee Informing of leaving ?

Hi

I worked in Dubai until one month ago when i resigned. I was therefore Visa tied for 6months. I have a job to come back to in six months conditional on me getting a visa.

But, i hear there is a new labour law just pased which forces every employee to notify the labour department if they leave, otherwise the ban will be increased to 12months.

- Is this true?
- Any links to this law? (or Dubai labour law in geenral)
- As i left a month ago (before law was passed) does it apply retrospectively?

Thanks
