I am Saudi and I came here because I love England, I think I was the only fan of England national team ( among Saudis) in their match against Algeria.. I really hope that they can make it and win the next game to qualifiy.
any way, kindly accept my friendship and ask whatever you would like to know about Saudis , Saudi Arabia and the society here.
I lived in Jeddah for more than 10 years with many English friends but now I moved to Riyadh for a new career.
by the way, by real name is Abdullah , I am very liberal thanks to my Education , my friends ..and my thoughts ..

There is a laundry near where I live called "Stranger's laundry" Always makes me smile... I guess the man in there doesn't really know the owner of every pair of pants he cleans.

it might be a misunderstanding in translation , but when we say strangers in Arabic it is not necessary to mean that people from outside the nation...sometimes it has so many meanings....for example..i see myself an stranger in Saudi Arabia , I have different thoughts , different perspectives that I share with a group of people

What's your view on women drivers? (apart from the obvious that they cannot reverse park)

well friend , there is nothing in the Islamic Sharia (law) that says Women are not allowed to drive ... even if you go through the Saudi Traffic law.
only pp under 16 are not allowed ( the law did not say male or female)
as for me, I think women should drive here but government should issue strict law and regulations against harassment first.
it is not Haram at all and even muslim scholars can not say that it is Haram
they know that and they need to have their power so they keep saying NO.
