Default A new expat moving in.

Hello friends,
I will move to Dubai or somewhere around soon in about 2-3 months and looking for any advice regarding accomodation, appartment in quiet location, other recent info for smooth start. I search info on the web pages recently, but it's a lot of changes because if Covid so best is to get advice from first hands. Any recommendations helps a lot.
Thanks,
Larry

Thanks all for messages and welcoming me to the forum. Can anyone give some advice regarding appartment location for start up in Dubai area please? We have no kids, its easy now. Regarding my global education, I am prof. lived in AUS, D, E.,the UK, USA. After experience set up my school to move education towards 21. Century level. In E my place burned down in bushfire, so now looking for a desert place not to burn again. Do you have ladies and gentlemen some advice where to move and who to contact please? I am looking for a business partner. For all of you my friends, piece of my Bio.
Have a nice day,
Larry

Lots of investors in UAE who'd love a part of a successful business like yours. These guys for example, education-investors.com

Thanks, Weasel for the link. I would be happy to be introduced to the right people when I arrive. I had the luck to meet and work with a few good scientists.
I have future towns design resistant to damages to the houses in the events of hurricanes, floods......what is Architecture. Part of this is new power generators for houses not based on fossils, solar, nuc. or wind to avoid events like California fires and issues of malfunctioning of the solar systems due to smoke in the skies for 3 weeks, or Texas total energy supply failure including nukes power plants due to frost when last available source for energy-generating fails when gas well pumps frozen for a week at -10*C. Not the ideal temp. for houses with small kids. This is the engineering field. Regarding my new education system, I wrote 120 courses dealing with everything one needs for a real-life plus missing subjects in recent education, essential for life.
I need to find the right individuals from 3 areas. Architecture, Education and Engineering what is not easy. I need to retrain teachers for my new education system. Also need to find a good engineering comp. to help me to make a prototype of a new power generator for my houses. People generally zooming on money-making, I focus on perfect results of my work, generous money comes with it.
For more details, we can hook next time to PM.
Thank you very much for your tip.
Have a nice day,
Larry

I don’t think Dubai is the place for your endeavours but I wish you all the best.

Regarding Dubai. I work globally but need the base and sources in UAE or KSA. Europe is a geriatric continent, needs lots of care facilities and industry to service the ageing population. The USA is struggling with the population moving in for a better life from the South. Lived in E, the statistic shows for the past 100 years had no one-year good economy that including all destinations in Americas. I think, there is no place better than UAE & KSA. for the next 10 years until Covid economic issues will be over. The recent scientific forecast is, covid will be here beyond 2025 minimum. Vaccines recently only boost the immune system not killing the virus. If there will be still a Chinese model of dealing with covid not sure how the economies will deal with it. Having natural resources is a huge advantage. The other destination with resources is Russia, huge land with a small population but not the place I want to live. The one international city available is Dubai, next is the UN international city of Auroville in Tamil Nandu, India but struggling for 50 years to get up even having UN financial support for decades. Mars will be available maybe in 100 years to move in :-)
Wishing you all the best.
Larry
