Networking Jobs?
Hi all
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can search for jobs in the Middle East?
I am a network engineer and at present working for AT&t as a NOC engineer
I am CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE and ASA certified, AT&t are looking to teach me voice in the coming month and therefore will be voice certified aswell
I would prefer some contract jobs as the money is alot better but I do not mind a permenant job as long as it pays well
so where am I meant to search? Iv'e been told to get a decent job in the Middle East it's all about who you know is this true?
Thanks

If I understood exactly what is was that you did my dear, I would try to help you but sorry I don't have a clue!!
There used to be a networking club in Dubai but I don't know if it is still going.
I am sure some of the guys will be able to help you. Some of them have mentioned "linkedin" or something??
Good luck

Re: Networking Jobs?
why is it thats its the technically adept ones who are incapable of using the search function. Is this why IT departments are generally ****ing useless?

What makes you think I haven't used the search button?
I am still searching and reading however not finding the information I am looking for.. hence the reason why I started a new thread
Knowing how to use a search button on a forum has nothing to do with cisco.. although sometimes forums can help whilst troubleshooting
but when I was studying cisco and checkpoint and even microsoft unfortunately searching was not part of the syllabus.

Re: Networking Jobs?
In fairness, I always find the search on this forum shite.
But this man has too many TLAs to his CV for me.

Re: Networking Jobs?
Ive tried most them sites
They take your CV ring you up after a few days saying we have people interested but before we give them your full details we need a fee of £50 sometimes even £85
This is the reason why I am here, if somone on here has given a company £50 or x amount of monies and in return have got genuine job offers then it will be worth paying the money otherwise smells like a scam

As Patsy said LinkedIn is probably your friend - there are various networking (non IT sense of the word) and Networking (cable version) groups that might help you find something.
Dare I ask... why are you keen for the ME?
I'm also disappointed that you never asked what LRF are - I had a joke there all lined up but it's lost now.
