NEOM Job Offer Details

I am applying for various roles advertised at Neom Careers, but I am not receiving any replies, and it appears as if my CV is ending up in the bin. I have also contacted a few recruiters on LinkedIn, but they are not responding at all.
Can anyone here explain how they got their jobs? Are there any specialist recruitment agencies you are working with or would recommend to help put my CV in front of hiring managers? I have 16+ years of experience in the Data Analytics and Architecture space in the UK market.

Did anyone declined the offer to begin a negotiation process with their HR team?
Keen to understand how to negotiate with them? Until now its seems to be a bit one way street from them.

It is. Take it or leave it my experience. Not heard of many if any people at all negotiating anything unless you're a very uniquely desirable individual going in to a C-Suite role that you've been picked for by on high. For the rest of us, the offer is very formulaic. It's based on a percentage increase from your last salary - if that fits into the band for the job you've applied for, then you get that. If it's higher by a little, then depending on your skillset and experience as well as the company's head count allocation there may be occasions where they bump roles up, but equally the opposite can happen and head costs mean that a higher role gets dropped to a lower grade.
As for negotiating things outside of the contract - accomodation types, holiday days, remote working etc? No chance.
Alas there are literally thousands of applications for each role they advertise, on top of the hand picked people that recruiters present, so there's not really any shortage of people and therefore incentive to negotiate with you.
My advice is to look at the offer, decide if it works, if not, be prepared to walk away with no expectation of it changing, certainly not by an amount that would be meaningful enough to be a yes one way and a no the other.

Yes, pretty much.
Not sure what you mean by after onboarding, but no, you can’t negotiate your package after you’ve been onboarded, and yes, the company expects you to stick to the employment policies set out.

Hi,
My partner has been offered a position at NEOM & I am actively looking for a role as a result. Does anyone have a contact of a recruiter in the health/biotech section please?
I have applied online with CV but no response & would really like to speak to someone to find out what roles may be coming up.
Thanks!

Thanks. That’s pretty much as much as I can find anywhere. No details have been forthcoming from NEOM which makes it hard to make a decision given that I have a good career in my home country. I would be giving up a lot for an unknown.

It can seem a bit of a strange way to calculate remuneration but I think the nominal uplift works quite well. We tend to base value on society norms and benchmark salaries on the place we are from or living in. With Neom being so unique it would be difficult to create fixed salaries based on role. The uplift approach works well to account for an individuals situation and be an attractive offer in the majority of cases.
For example, some regions receive a salary 2-3x the income of counterparts in Europe, due to higher cost of living etc. So they wouldn't accept a role benchmarked on say UK salaries as it would be a pay cut.
Likewise for people from USA who may negotiate a higher uplift to cover the income tax they're still required to pay.

A lot of the positions advertised end up on lower grades when the position is filled. E.g. Role advertised for Senior Manager, person comes in at Manager level, and probably at the bottom of the salary scale. People often come in as Leads when the position offered was a Manager role. They can then end up managing people with Manager titles etc.

Best advice as previously mentioned is to not get too hung up on the title - unless you're in the C-Suite, it won't always translate to your experience / skillset / previous titles held. As was also discussed, it's eminently possible that leads will manage managers, manager manage senior managers etc. The actual work function hierarchy doesn't necessarily translate to the pay grade title. In my experience, there's also an element of people 'making up' their titles once they get here to align them with their roles. Look at the offer and take everything from anyone else with a pinch of salt.

I am based in Canada and I am currently interviewing for a financial analyst position at Neom ( i think it is grade 6). I am currently underpaid (Canadian salaries aren't that great anyway) and 30% increase will not be enough for us to relocate. However, I am also in the final stage of interview with a company in US (let us call it "company X", for which I expect the salary to be much better, Can I use the offer letter from "company X" to negotiate 30% increase at Neom?
Also any finance people, if they could help me with interview questions.
thanks
