Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
Similar to folks coming from the United States having to go through the Saudi Embassy, Cultural Mission Division will have to get a letter from the employer confirming job status. Its one of the eleven requirements for degree attestation. The other requirements include a signed affidavit, copy of passport, copy of diploma, official transcripts, a letter from the national clearinghouse, distance learning form confirming classes were taken in-person from the University, and some other logistical stuff.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
Onboarding has been super inefficient for me too ; everything was agreed for a starting date of Sunday 23rd July but due to HR not pulling their finger out im left waiting for the flights
to be booked up even until the morning of my supposed outbound flights. Various internal chases of Hr by my boss but to no avail.
It doesn’t help that most of them don’t have their out of offices on so you don’t know whom is in or out and even when they are in ; they might as well be out of office because as you say there pretty much MIA.
clearly frustrating for everyone waiting for different elements of their onboarding to be complete. I’m pretty used to the delays now but I would say don’t expect anything to go to Plan and you’ll be alright lol.
I had arranged everything to be vacated house, car etc etc but have rewinded that back and luckily managed to get my current accommodation longer as otherwise wouldn’t have a place to stay. (Had arranged my existing accommodation to rent).

I too, am in the same predicament. During the initial onboarding meeting they said they will send through the support letter the day after….now I’m still waiting 8 weeks later. I’m now resorting to getting my recruitment agent onto them to push the process.

to the other open questions, best to speak to the various visa specialists as they will know straight away whether you need a degree exemption letter or not from neom. Might save you having to get the degree attested to then find out six weeks later your degree isn’t acceptable.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
Hello, I have a related question please: Being a UAE resident located in the UAE with my family on work-visa and children having UAE schooling, I am currently considering an offer to join Neom. My concern is that once I join Neom, my UAE visa would be cancelled, my family would need to relocate and children who were born in UAE would need to start searching for another schooling options. Is there, as per your experience, a way to keep the family stay in the UAE to cause them minimum disruption while allowing me to be visiting them regularly? Moving them to KSA is not an option. E.g. are there any UAE family visas supporting expats working in KSA? (or is there a need for free a UAE zone visa for them?) Thank you very much in advance.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
My onboarder told me I need to wait for an attested Neom contract from the Government Affairs office. I should get it through email. Once I receive that, I need to sign, visit a VFS center (I'm based in Abu Dhabi), and send back to them. Along with the signed contract I have to send an attested degree, medical, and police report. The degree was simple, visited the Saudi embassy in Dubai and got the stamp within 5 minutes. I'm doing the medical tomorrow and once results come back I will get them attested. Same with police report. I heard police report is easy as well.
But I've been waiting for this attested contract now for almost 2 months. Anyone else experiencing delays in receiving this? Or better yet has anyone else been required to get this? I know a few recent joiners that don't recall having to receive an attested contract. Only the degree, medical, and police report.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
You have to get the background check before obtaining attested contract... I'm in Bahrain received an attested employment contract by email with non matching salary to offer letter ...more confusion. Then happen to know by VFS that the attested contract presented at VFS center has to be the original attested contract. My on boarder is on vacation just need this verified. They are also requesting education degrees to be attested back in the country of education...so would think you studied in Dubai.
You also need a power of attorney letter allowing VFS Centre to take charge of Saudi matters.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
Finally received my Visa yesterday - Accepted the role at the end of May - pretty much everything that involves onboarding or government affairs does seem to be exceedingly slow, but does get there in the end.
You just need a bit of understanding (and a lot of patience), Looking at this forum there are many of us who had outstanding tasks with onboarding (and the members of this forum will just be a very small segment of the onboarding team's workload)
I know how stressful it is, but they do seem to get everything moving eventually. (Just wanted to share my good news story after all of my worried posts over the last two months.)
