Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
This point on "25% salary increase" did anyone achieve higher than this? For me, moving to a place like Saudi would take more than 25%, does it include 25% increase on salary & stocks, if anyone had success with that? Tax free helps but let's not forget it's living in a camp in the desert.

Hello All
I just joined this forum and can see very useful and valuable comments from everyone.
I had my initial interview in late Jan 2022 and then there was a period of complete silence and then all of a sudden I was set for the 2nd interview which happened 2 weeks ago. Following the 2nd interview the recruiter told me that the hiring manager should get in touch with me again and explain more about the organization and the role etc. I have been waiting ever since. There is also no response to my follow-up emails from Neom or the recruiter. Wanted to ask people who have already been through or in the hiring process, if this is something normal and what is the turnaround time that people have experienced.

Hello Fellow Expats
Some very good information being shared on this forum, which really helps answer most of the question one would have in mind. I have couple of things which is bothering me and my partner and thats about living at Neom with kids. I have a 3 & a 7 year old daughters and planning to relocate from UK and appreciate if anyone could share how is life there with Kids such as;
Whats is the Neom Community school like?
Are there many families with children staying at Neom and whats your own experience like in settling down with kids?
Is there much to do to keep the kids busy like do they have after school clubs or activities for them?
What do you as a family do during weekends?
what kind of social life you can expect outside of work whilst living in Neom?
Any help or guidance would be a deal breaker here, my wife seems to be just worried way too much .
Kind Regards
Ady

Families with kids - there are many of us. Approximately 130ish families at the moment I want to say, or even more! In Sept 2021 there were around 80 of us but I want to say that's gone up to maybe 130-150. Kids are a range of ages from brand newborns and older teenagers approx 16/17. Many pregnant ladies too. I have two kids under 5 and personally, we are enjoying it very much here.
Activities for kids - there are several for kids above 5 years. Still lacking for the younger ones but some of us mums are working on this together. Older kids do tennis, football, swimming lessons, dance lessons, taekwondo, after school activities include robotics \(whatever that is!)
Family weekends - pretty quiet. Beach. Birthday parties. Hanging out on the camp. The pool. Kids play outside together. Parents socialise or just relax. You need hobbies. I see families playing tennis together. There are no malls close by.
Social life outside of work - my husband works nearly 12 hours a day and sometimes the weekends. He socialises with some other husbands who are our neighbours. Mainly just hanging out on balconies in the evenings, some guys do sheesha together. Some families congregate together. The female spouse community is very tightknit and theyre always socialising.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
Back to previous conversations, what is about 4,000 SAR/month "family cabins"?
They are same as you describe NC1 cabins?
Why somebody eligible for free cabins in NC1 and then, who need to pay for them?
Somebody knows who is living/purpose of Villas with little pool (for each villa) with sea view? Just marketing or this is real for execs?

There are families living in 1 bedroom cabins though - mainly families with one child.
The rent for a 2 bedroom cabin is indeed 4k SAR. I believe there is no rent for a 1 bed.
The cabins in NC1 do not have pools or sea views.
I believe the Oxagon camp definitely does have a sea view but I am unsure about the pool.
The NC1 camp has swimming pools - mixed and female only.

I am living in a 2 bedroom "family" cabin in NC1 and it is definitely NOT basic! It was much better than I expected and we are quite well taken care of.
It depends what you are used to though.

Hello All,
i would highly appreciate if anyone can upload a quick tour of the cabins in NC1 - family and single cabins, as well as the surroundings to understand where the offices are and the school is.
Also, anyone here who is already in NC1 WITH Family? how's the family-life there and what do the kids do after school and how's the school in general? do they also provide lunch for kids at school? Anyone here with toddlers?
Further, i understand there is a laundry service, but has anyone put their own washing machine into their family cabin in NC1?
thank you in advance!

Warm lunch is provided at the school for my kids but I send my 2 year old in with a packed lunch.
I posted a video of my 2 bedroom cabin on Instagram and a fellow Neom resident uploaded it to her account - @siselarabia
You can see it on her Stories about Neom Life.
If you search for my posts I've written several things about life as a family here which may answer some of your questions.
If you have other questions that haven't been answered please feel free to ask.
My overall feeling for Neom, as a mum of two young children, is good. I am happy here and so is my husband.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE
Is there anyone here paying a rent for the cabin or has further information about that?

Charging family cabins? It's that true? How much? Is it for everyone or for families only? I thought free housing was included in the package, whether you live in NC1 or NC2, same as food, cleaning...
Is there anyone here paying a rent for the cabin or has further information about that?

I was told they will include stock, bonus, pension, etc in your base then add the 20-30% lift.

Not that it will affect me much, but good to know whether the information we get from NEOM is subject to change...

School - is very nice, staff good. Building itself is great. The earlier grades and especially nursery are fine but there is still some work to go in terms of teaching curriculum for older kids. It's on the way and the staff work hard. They're all professionals brought in from the UK, Dubai, etc.

I have another question, what’s something that you wish you would have known before moving here and what is what you miss the most.
Relevant questions for me
