Not that i can see. Usually around 8/830am to 6pm in my team currently. Obvoiusly changes depending on work schedule, but its not too bad right now.
- From reading the forums NC1 camp is on / at the offices, and NC2 is a fairly big commute away, correct?
Commute by bus is 20-40 mins depending the calibre of formula 1 driver the bus driver is that day. I would allow 30 mins to be safe in most instances.
- Is it worth buying a car? Have you used your car for local site seeing or not worth it?
NO. No need to buy a car.
- Is it safe to go camping around NEOM? Only in some places or can you drive / cycle nearby and camp in open spaces?
YES. People camp out in the desert pretty regularly. Not sure of exact locations or proximity to camp however.
- Anyone making sidiqque / brown / white on camp? Is it easy to buy?
Its around camp yes. Not had any myself yet, but its around.
- Is reaching NEOM from Amman airport and then driving feasible or much longer than via Tabuk airport?
Its possible, but why would you do that? There are regular flights from Amman to Aqaba, so a drive from Aqaba to NEOM is probably easier. Driving from Tabuk to NEOM is nearly 2hrs. Driving from Amman to NEOM is 6 (plus the border crossing) so yes, its much further.
Cheers.

The background check took almost 3 weeks. They apply for business visa if you are expected to join asap, but if you have some time to go they apply for a work visa that will include your family.

I have a three month notice period in my current job, so they will apply for a work visa.

Overall it has been very stressful for me, while it really shouldn’t be that way. Me and my family would have been very excited if not for the accomodation situation.
Hi there,
I am just at initial stage of job processing, just curious to know what do they check in background checks. My previous company is closed and I am like what if they are checking my employment history..
Looking forward to hear from you and who have been through.. Many Thanks

I assume you do still need to be vaccinated though to work at Neom (I am but a friend of mine joining has not yet taken his first dose).

Thanks

Richard

No problem Richard.
You need the vaccinations to enter the country, so I assume it is just assumed for the employment requirements with NEOM.
There is definitely no check ever for vaccination anywhere within NEOM.

Thanks, you can now enter unvaccinated but I think there are restrictions if you do not have a booster entering public spaces like restaurants, using transport and accessing domestic flights if you are not vaccinated and boosted.

I guess if there was an issue with accessing domestic flights, you could just cross the border to Aqaba and fly from there?

- How is getting to beaches from the various camps? it seems one camp / compound is on the beach, the other 2 are more inland. Can one easily get to a beach and have a day there - swim, relax, etc? Do you need to do this as a club or resort or can you just go to any open beach area?
- I see from some threads that there is a school - is this only on 1 camp? How is the environment for learning for 4-6 year olds?
- Is it easy to bring in kit for making refreshments? Or is this confiscated / strictly managed?
- Has anyone had an ability to work remotely for part of the year, or to handle family issues, or is it strictly when you're out of country you take leave?

Everything you need for making booze is available at the local supermarket.

If you want to bring in your own still I'd be more wary.

Been searched numerous times on arrival at various airports and borders. Some contraband is taken more seriously than others. Booze related stuff is at the serious end of the scale most of the time. Xmas related stuff is at the non serious end of the scale as an example.

Hey guys

I saw there is a school in NEOM, just wanted to check if there is a Nursery? If so, how much are the fees and do they accepted babies under 12 months?

My wife and 7month old son are planning on joining me in a few months however, I wanted to check what other mothers/wives do if they are not working? If there is a Nursery would she be allowed to volunteer?

TIA

Following along on this one as my husband will be heading off soon solo, and we also have a 7 month old. Haven't heard about the nursery yet but 🙏

it things for distilling are in the supermarket then its fairly relaxed and if you want to make or buy then its fairly easy so long as you are low key about it, yes?

does anyone have the measurements of the family accommodations on NC1? I understand these are two bedroom places but don't have any dimensions or layout and want to get an idea of this as we are a family. anyone have a layout / description / photos of the family accommodations on NC1?

related to this, was anyone able to bring a nanny? if you currently have a nanny from the Philippines, and would like to bring her with you, is this possible visa wise (assuming the space in the house works out)?
