Is anybody available to give an insight for some queries :
- does anybody know if NC1 still has available 1 bedroom units? Everyone goes to NC1, even the highest level directors. They are building like crazy in NC1 to expand and get everyone moved there. If you are exec director level i believe you get a cabin in NC2.
- I understand that nursery is in NC1 only. Is that true? The school is in NC1 yes.
-does the nursery has terms or are available during summer time too? No idea
- for kids living in NC2 and going to school/ nursery in NC 1 is there any transportation provided? I havent seen any children in NC2. Most people move and get put in NC2, then bring their wives/husbands/children at a later date when getting moved to NC1.
- how long is the community travel between NC2 and NC1? 30 mins from NC2 to NC1, 40 mins return
- are the offices within compounds, or just in one of the compounds? There are offices in both NC1 and NC2, most people work in NC1, however there are some departments working out of offices in NC2, some of the projects departments i believe.
- does anybody has photos or videos of one bedroom unit? PM Me.
- does anybody know how long it will take a visa for our baby ?( dependants visa) i dont have personal experience but i believe this is relatively quick. I believe around 1-2 weeks, but this will be once you get your IQAMA first. My IQAMA has been really quick. I havent heard anyone elses recent experience. I think since they stopped the business visa, they have improved the speed.
Thank you so much.

That sounds crazy!
I am just about ready to get NEOM to book my flights (from Sydney), and if they decide to fly me through Aqaba, ill be making sure they have really good reasons for it! Why not fly through Tabuk and drive from there?

Where are you going to be coming from?

Discussion boards like this usually have a minimum post count before you can use PM service. Quite a low threshold possibly. Do some posts!

Good to see more people coming from Sydney! I'm currently in the process of getting my visa and degree attestation. Hopefully not that long now.

For those who are waiting to get their visas and/or degree attestation... I guess you have just accepted the salary offer and have resigned from your current job. While you are waiting to be relocated in Arabia... Are you being payed any salary from Neom?

Hahhaa. Are you joking? Why would they be paying you to sit and wait for the visa!?

No, I'm not joking. It's supposed that they are processing your VISA because you have accepted they offer and signed their contract. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible for them to initiate the VISA and relocation processes. And the contract has a starting date, so... What happens if you officially are working for NEOM but you are still waiting in your country to be relocated?
It would be very appreciated if someone with experience working on NEOM could give me an answer (other than to take lightly my question/comment). I think the key issue here is the gap between the last day of work at your current company and first one at NEOM. Does this gap (without working and getting paid) really exists?
My experience working abroad with US and EU companies is that this gap doesn't exist, and I've worked remotely from my country untill I've been relocated. Of course I have been paid working remotely at home.

I am in the same situation, resigned end of December as the NEOM onboarder instructed me, and targeted beginning of Feb..
During the call initially has been said that we can work from home country if the visa is getting delayed. On this basis I ended my pervious contract (end of Jan.) even if my previous employer needed me, told them 'I am going to an amazing project in KSA so I need a break in between'. When the visa process started expanding out from the initial schedule, I reconfirmed and the onboarder told me it is not possible to work from home till the visa gets settled.
Now it is 1st of March and the mobilization process is having a lot of issues which could have been easily avoided. I did not ask for the payment, even though it is a good idea once I reach there, hopefully in a week or so. Overall, I am left with a bad taste, hopefully it will be the opposite once I reach NEOM.

The contract you sign for the VISA is not the 'official' employment contract that you need to sign when you arrive at NEOM. This is what my onboarder has told me. The signing of this and initialing of each page is merely for the visa and DOES NOT initiate a commencement date with NEOM. The contract I was provided does not note any dates.
So - I take that as you are not officially employed until you arrive on site.

The onboarding is a bit of shambles I agree. Considering they are onbaording 30 new employees a week, you would think this process would be as smooth as can be!! They told me to resign back in December, which i was in no way going to do with the uncertainty in timing for both VISA, degree legalisaiton and the medical results. I resigned once the medical and degree stuff was done, and now just waiting for the visa to go through, which I believe will happen this week/early next.

Thanks for yout answer Alex23 and good luck. I'm sure all this uncertainty and delays in the process will worth it. Keep us updated.

Thanks for your answer Pkingston (much better than the previous one). Cristal clear. I wish you good luck too.

The offer has been accepted. The contract will be signed once you land in KSA and become an employee at NEOM.

I've been informed from early on that onbarding, visa, degree attestation might take 6 to 8 weeks, sometimes even longer. So it's up to you if wish to resign asap and have a bit of time off before starting a new role.
