Hi everyone,

Thank you for all of your help. I'm going to negotiate with my company to see if I can improve the offer and if not, I'll have to let the opportunity pass.

On a slighty related topic, how reliable are the prices I see on websites like Dubizzle and such? There seem to be studios there that are quite a bit cheaper than 65k a year. Is this just a sneaky tactic to draw gullible people like me in?

Any recommended estate agents/renting agents that I could trust?

All the best,
Creighton

Yes, you will never (or very rarely) get one at that price "Oh it has just gone but I have one the same for 20,000 more" Add to that multiple agents 'selling'the same property.

If your mrs goes and gets a job for similar or more then it would be tight but more than do-able.

Why can't she job hunt?

and Tiger Woods, and Oscar Pistorius and Lance Armstrong.

I'm starting to think that Nike are a bad influence on world athletes!

Hi Scamp, thanks for the answer. She would be on the hunt for a job as soon as we get there, but it's nothing concrete and from what I've seen the job market isn't booming at the moment and I wouldn't be comfortable commiting to such a big change based on a pretty big "if".

Thanks for the reply!

What's to stop her from looking for employment before you move? Surely it is best for her to see what is available in her field now?

Hi Meow,

She's finishing her degree in criminology and would (hopefully) be finished by June. However, she's Spanish and her level of English is just enough to hold basic conversations. She's working on it, but it will take time.

But anyway, I've just turned down the offer from my company so it's a null point in any case.

Thank you all for your help and advice,

All the best
