Visas for the UAE / Abu Dhabi
The British Embassy in Abu Dhabi is not responsible for issuing visas for, or formal guidance on UAE immigration law.
We are, however, aware that the UAE authorities will change their visa requirements on 29 July. We have been informed officially that, for British Citizens:
For visitors to the UAE no fees will have to be paid on arrival.
2. The tourist visa can be amended into a resident permit if the person gets a job in the UAE
3. Visa validity is 30 days. It can be extended for a further 30 days
4. The person has to be holding a genuine & recognised passport.
If you have any concerns you should call 600522222. We will update this information
