Musandam (Oman) - how to get there?

Hi, we are planning to do a one day trip to Musandam to do a dhow cruise.
Now, the cruise costs 200 Dirham per person, but if we want to be picked up fromDubai, 650 per Person. :curse: The problem: Our car rental service doesn't offer insurance for Oman. Do you have any advice on what we could do? (other provider?, other car rental?,....)

yes but dont you have to have the rental car permission

depends on the company i think. I have taken a rental to Oman and bought insurance at the border (with Diamond Lease) but as ever it probably varies.
