Re: Moving to Saudi
A lot depends on where you are going and who your employer is. I realise you might be a bit bashful about naming the employer but can you tell us what city you are going to ?

Re: Moving to Saudi
Big place. Most conservative of the three big cities. I know Jeddah and Dammam but only visited Riyadh for a few days. If you are in one of the big private hospitals you will be okay. Having said that some people HATE the place from Day One. Others find it acceptable. Good place to save.
I spent 17 years in KSA ! |
Re: Moving to Saudi
Working in Saudi can be very frustrating - check out "Blue Abaya" blog as she was a nurse in Riyadh and writes some very funny posts about what went on in the hospital there!

Re: Moving to Saudi
The work environment can be challenging and can vary greatly between wards/departments even in the same institutions depending on management and staff.
The positive side of Riyadh is there are thousands of western medical staff and it is generally a welcoming and supportive group of people. I was exhausted after my first year from social activities. Hope you have a good experience. |
