Moving to Riyadh...help

Hi All....

hope someone can help..
Moving to riyadh (from UK) in a couple of weeks (permanent job)..

Will be in temporoay accomodation for a couple of weeks.
Ill be moving my wife and kids out here a month after.

Anyone know of a good compound to live in ..pref family oriented.

My budget is SAR48000 per annum..does this go far. could do with a 3 bed place?? Would really like a compund that has a good nursery/pre-school for the kids (2 and 3 years old)

Any ideas?

Some friendly faces when I get there would be nice as well

pepsi's on me!

Cheers

do do do.........another one bites the dust.

Good luck, feel free to search for saudi info..theres tons here, and alot of it is relevent.

Compounds i would suggest cordoba, arizona and phoenix, or saraha if you want to be closer to central riyadh/ Olaya street

Suggest you factor in the cost of bullet-proof vests for each family member (and the vests will probably need replacing every month or so)

aye, welcome to BE...and as mentioned, a fair few threads...but the consensus...best advice would be not do it, especially if you've got a family.
