MOVING TO JEDDAH
Hi Folks,
It seems I will be moving back to Jeddah in the next month or so, I last lived there in 1999 and have been to several different places since. I now have a wife and two children (girls age 9 & 11) so need some up-to-date info on schools and housing please!!!! My two main & urgent requirements are 1. Housing - I'm thinking Arabian Homes...Andulus..is this still good or are there better options now? Schools I have no idea but I need advice on which is the best school that follows the British Curriculum, dont care what the fees are quality of education is the most important thing. I'm currently working in Dubai so I am sure it will be a bit of a retro shock coming back but it's going to be worth it, my wife also worked in Saudi (thats where we met) so she knows what to expect and after all, life is what you make of it!! Any advice and information would be most gratefully received. Many thanks, Charles. |

Best two schools would be the British Continental School ( the Conti , also next door to Basateen Compound ) or you could try Jeddah Prep and Grammar School. Both of those are pretty close to Andalus & Sierra Village. One new poster on here - 1967tazz - is relocating to Jeddah, due to take up a teaching position at Jeddah Knowledge School, so could ask him about the syllabus? Good Luck. |
