Hi

I come from Aberdeen, Scotland and am looking to move to Dubai in the new year

Currently, I work in oil and gas as a design draughtsman and have about 2 years experience in this field as I had previously studied Architecture at Uni and changed profession.

Is there anyone who could help me (point me in the right direction) with finding Recruitment Agencies in Dubai in the Oil and Gas Sector?

Are there any British Recruitment Agencies that have offices out there, which would maybe make it easier to get a start?

Help would be much appreciated

Petrofac is a big company in Aberdeen - It's just the fact of walking into the Aberdeen office and asking for a job in Dubai - worth a shout though, will have a look at their website

nope sorry I don't. But if you register with www.expatwoman.com (blokes are allowed) and post on there you will find alot of women who are married to Petrofac men.

I am supposed to be working! So wont post who I work for! Just do an internet search, there are drydocks in Dubai, shipyards in Sharjah and Hamriyah, all with-in easy reach, also Abu DHabi could be an option.

A large part of my work is Downhole Design - Designing wireline equipment (machines and tools) such as Logging Units/Skids/Trucks etc. So it would be that be the part of the O&G Sector I would be looking to get into.

Ideally though, I am pretty keen to get into ROV's in either designing, piloting.

Had a look though at a couple of companies you listed Boddach, very interesting.
