Hey Mick ... Madam is right ... some people love it some people hate it; if you are alone than it's easier; if you have a wife you better bring her here and check her reaction; you may find yourself a bachelor very quickly again

There is another post here on 'Awaiting an offer' so perhaps you can check your offer as well. I might be wrong but here it's all about money ... and you'll see first hand how life miserable can be if you are on a wrong pay.

Al Barsha ... it's good I guess ... depends what in Barsha? Apartment or villa? We can tell you anything but only when you come here you'll start comparing what you've got and what other people have ... then you'll know how lucky you were (or otherwise).

I have attached a google earth file so you can see where Al Barsha is and at least get an overall feel of it's locatio relative to other parts of Dubai.

we went strsaight to barsha, its dusty and lots of construction, but not bad, massive shopping mall right next to you, you're next to the big road sheikh Zayed road which takes you all over dubai,

it's not a bad place to go.

we sayed in Al Barsha when we first arrived (apartments) - some nice parts, lots of construction, not that much of a community feel, due to all the hotel apartments. Easy access to Jebel Ali at least.

Are you coming alone or with a wife and/or kid(s)? Not trying to pry, but it will make a lot of difference as to whether you stay in Al Barsha or not.
