Default Whats Tourist Club Area like to Live in Abu Dhabi?

Hi

My Company has offered me morden 4 Bed Appartment (3bed with maid's room) in Tourist club area with parking space, bills included,. I will be working in Al Raha

Any idea whats this area is like to live in?

How much will the rent be like for this kind of appartment?

its a cool area!!

prices i dont know (does it matter, you say your company are paying)

I live in Al Raha, cause i work nearby..

We could have moved to anywhere in AD we chose (within reason) but we chose a villa over an apartment. Both have thier advantages...personal choice

Very noisy and very busy. Although you are lucky to get parking. Would expect to pay around AED 130.

Nice place It can be a bit noisy depending how close you are to the main road. You may find it hard work getting to work in the morning with the traffic. I live about 15mins drive from the tourist club area and it saves me so much time in the morning. I'm working at the airport just past Al Raha.
Saying that, it will be worth going to have a look at the place they are offering you.
For me to get the same kind of place I have now in the Tourist Club area would cost me a lot more than I am paying.
Good luck

Thankx Guys, I will be staying in temporary accomodation untill I have decorated / furnished my flat, then family will come over. I will see if I could get some place near al raha. It depends on grade and availability of accomodation too.

My wife may end up teaching in AlRaha School

If you could get somewhere in between town and Al Raha it would be ideal. Al Raha is too far away from town if you plan on going in a few times a week.
I live in Mushrif which is about half way between town and the airport. Costs about one english pound to get to town and maybe two to get home later on

depends what you want, like i said earlier, we could have lived anywhere. At Al raha i can go on my bike every evening, live close to work (Mussaffa) and if one the odd occassion we want to go out for a few pints, its only a taxi away...

If your young and single etc, then i agree, Al Raha is boring....

As always have to decide what's important. I live in the city centre, pain in the butt for parking but ideal for walking out to many of the watering holes around. I'm amazed that they already have an apartment and are holding it open. Many apartments go within hours. I was offered a 3 bed plus maids room and underground parking but my employer couldn't process the paperwork fast enough for the greedy landlord so it fell through. My guess is it will be nice enough inside, maybe 3 en-suite bathrooms, utility room, maids room, spacious lounge, possibly balcony or patio door but outside the block will be a bit scruffy and busy.

Double glazing, once inside I don't hear too much but miss the total silence of my garden in UK if the mood takes me.

My employer Aldar Laing O Rourke have many buildings around Abu Dhabi Area so I dont think they would have any problem holding the apartment.

I have been offered a place in Al Reem Plaza, any body knows?

We are both muslim so we dont drink, to be honset I would prefer a place out of town...

Even in london we leave in West London Suberbs in a consevation area. Are prices for 3 bed+ maid room Apartment in Tourist Club Area are similar to 3 bed villa in Al Raha?
