It's not a joke website but if you take the time to read a little you'll see that questions from people who haven't tried to find any answers themselves are usually treated pretty roughly.

Yes, you can bring any religious paraphernalia for your personal use; anything that looks like it may be used for proseltyzing will be stopped.

You may find this link more useful than the one above: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=removal+uk+uae

Don't forget to bring a sense of humour, without that you won't last 6 months in this place

I agree a sense of humour is essential anywhere but I think anyone can see why I did not find it funny now you know the context

How do I get this thread pulled - not clear on the site when you are new

It's clear from your initial post that people wouldnt know of your loss when you mentioned the crucifix

As Blue Cat says, this is a friendly forum and generally very helpful to those that post. I think also, you have now had an answer re the crucifix.

Give us an idea of how much you need to ship. Will it be a full container or groupage?

If you really want to lose out on any more advice, and want the thread pulled then pm me or another mod. It would be a shame though

OK, then you need either an LCL groupage consolidator, or a removals specialist. The latter will be the more expensive.

With the groupage operator you will need to buy the triwall cartons / crates and pack them yourself. The downside is that you have to ensure that the crates can be loaded on the collecting vehicle, i.e. a tail lift and pallet truck will be required.

If you have furniture though, it will probably need to be professionally packed, hence the removals expert option.

THIS is a well known Freight Consolidator

As regards removals companies, I'm sure people on here will have recommendations
