I'm excited that Francis Ford has returned to the director's chair....
Auto's thread has got me thinking.....about how women director/producers are very few and far between.Wonder why that is.......wonder if women make better director/producers than men-being the more compassionate sensitive sex after all.....

It's a real shame that DIFF was so unashamedly commercial this year.

The number of films I wanted to see was roughly half the number last year.

Although...I guess I was lucky enough to see 4 months 2 weeks 4 days at DIFF, in all its depressing glory. Can't wait for the rest of the 'golden age' series.

I gave the fest a swerve this year - previous years were disappointing....

Female directors are in short supply - I would love for Miranda July to make another movie....

Peter Greenaway is releasing his first feature length movie in, god, what about 5 years (???) in the new year....

BE Movie Buffs night out, anyone?????

Why did you throw Peter Greenaway in there? What are you implying?

Anyways - PG - the movies look beautiful, sumptious, vivid etc but are just about unwatchable... the nearest he came to a watchable movie was The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and His Lover.

Seriously - how does he make a living...

I like art, movies, music and culture which he mixes as his palate, but his movies are not enjoyable!

Bootie - did you like Prospero's Book?
