Motorbike in Tripoli....
Hey all,
Anyone any ideas about either shipping a motorbike from the UK to tripoli and reregistering, or buying one over there?
Any websites of bike dealers in triploi available?
Any help appreciated.

Damn, and I was looking forward to riding my Sportster in fine weather for a change!
I will bow to your experience....what about cars then?
Should I get a car and driver?

If you really wanna ride, consider buying in the ME. Bikes are cheaper here and 2nd hand bike are becoming better value. However, this is not Europe/USA. Riding here requires different skills, even in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. Tripoli is another story! get settled then decide but don't let the nay-sayers put you off. Ride the roads if you can.

Fantastic. I kind of had intended playing it by ear anyway....rode my bike around Cairo for a few months and no accidents. Thanks for the encouragement.
