Hi Everyone!

I am new to these forums and I move to Bahrain in just over a week from York, UK. I am hoping to make some new contacts and hopefuly some new friends who are in the same boat as me; I am moving out there myself.

I will be working as account manager for a drinks company all over Bahrain and will be based in Manama to begin with in the Gulf Hotel, until I obtain an apartment.

If you have just moved or about to move out there then please feel free to drop me a line.

Dan, are you working for GBI by any chance? I know them well and have recruited for them myself. I know Bahrain very well and will be in town in a few weeks. Happy to help if I can.

Thought so! Say hi to Ron for me. I will be in Bahrain for a week, from the 15th September. I always stay at the Gulf Hotel as I handle their recruitment. Happy to meet you, my local number will be <<snip>> as of the 15th.

Hey Dan!

I'll be arriving in Bahrain on Saturday! I'm Canadian and will be teaching grade one and two.

I hope to organize a get-together for anyone who is interested once I get settled in and figure out a fun place to go (suggestions anyone?).

Well, I'm flying out today, so I don't know much about venues!

I was thinking about going somewhere quiet for a couple of drinks and a chat and then if people want to go to somewhere busier. But I'm up for whatever, what does everyone else think?
