Meeting new people in Dubai??
Hi everyone,
My company is sending me to Dubai for a few months to work, but i'm already thinking ahead of myself wondering what I'll be doing in those lonesome evenings and weekends! Was wondering if any has any tips in meeting new people, socialising etc. I also like quite a lot of sport and not sure if there are clubs out there - Squash/Badminton/Muay Thai/Martial arts?? Otherwise a jolly down the pub is equally as good! Thanks in advance |
Re: Meeting new people in Dubai??
I heard the people at the bar in the York Hotel are very kind and open to friendships, perhaps you could give that a go?
 |

If your a grown man you should know how to meet people..But i'm going to help you out..Do whatever you want to do, and when you do that you should run into some people that want to do the same things. It's just so easy

Re: Meeting new people in Dubai??
I think the main thing is most people have moved from another country fairly recently (except BC) and so everyone's in the same boat really.
but there's a martial arts centre on SZR that does plenty of different arts so that would be a good start. |

The beach is always a good place to meet women and you can see what youre getting before you actually get it. |

Aussie Legends, pub in Rydges Plaza. Roundabout at Satwa/Al Dhiyaffah (sp?) Street. Mondays allegedly. Never been, the women on here frighten me and I'm not allowed out. |

Also happy hour 5 til 7 at the Harbour Hotel. Best view of the palm, great food and drink and fab place to meet people. I'm there every night haha |
