Maternity Hospitals in Dubai
Well, once again, I would like to say hello to the forum.
I would also like to say a massive thankyou to Showtime for producing such poor TV content so, along with a good bit of personal planning it has lead to...
This weekend (on my OH's 30th Bday, just after returning from Lunch at the Burj Al Arab) we found out that we are now carers for our very own blastocyst (google it if you don't know).
So, if everything goes to plan, in 9 months time we should be a 1st time 'mummy & daddy'. As it is in the very early stages we are not telling anyone ese than family until the 'danger period' is over. The only reason I am on here announcing it is to gather some specilaist DXB maternity knowledge.
My ALICO coverage allows us to go to: -
American Hospital (IN-Patient Only) - Oud Metha Rd, Behind al Nasser Club
Belhoul Speciality Hospital - Baraha area, Behind al Baraha Hospital
Belhoul European Hospital LLC - Al Dhiyafah Rd
Cedars - Jebel Ali International Hospital
Emirates Hospital - Jumeirah Beach Road
Jebel Ali Hospital - Jebel Ali
Neuro Spinal Hospital - Jumeirah Beach Road
New Medical Center Hospital - Al Safiya Bldg.
Welcare Hospital L.L.C. - Near Garhoud Bridge,
We havent visited any yet, and think the American is not allowed for maternity. The Welcare is the best location for us. A colleague of mine is using the Al Wasl and swears by it, yes he has to pay, but money is no matter in this issue.
What is the general consensus?

Just call me a stud (tongue in cheek)! Took less than 1 month after having the OH clear her system of the nasty 'pill' and having to use alternative contraception!
Keep your distance, I am highly fertile

Being typically male, after the initial elation I said "i guess you are the nominated driver on our nights out now then!!"

I know a few girls who have delivered at the Welcare and say it is brilliant, and if that is nearby I would go for there. I did the Al Wasl route and it wasn't particularly pleasant although I can't actually fault the standard of care. and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
