Not a cheap option - but you could set up as a freelance via Fujeirah Creative City or RAK....

You could then invoice your current employer each month instead of being employed etc as they are being difficult about visa?

Costs approx 20k for year 1 license then another 6k for 3 year visa. Thereafter about 13.5k each year to renew company trade license...

I heard that you can get an AD residency for about AED 5k from fiftyfour24 or whatever they are called - not sure if that would help?

I have not the foggiest clue what you attempted to convey, however, this is my favourite "sentence" of today. Well done.

I may even have this printed on a T-shirt - it's that good.

they're the ones who've done Driver Dan's Story Train... just a random bit of randomness for those who've never had to be glued to CeeBeebies.

I was sponsored by TwoFour54. It's media - you need at least five years experience in the field. And several refs.

But there are loads of categories - it's worth a look and friends may be able to sort out refs for you...

Works out at about 5,000 to 7,000 p/a BUT you cannot sponsor dependants. At all. Very inflexible.

MH, You can indeed as stated previously set up a free zone company in the Fujairah freezone area with a company called Creative Zone.

You make up a company name, activity of company e.g. marking advisor they then register the company which takes around 2 weeks and cost's around $6K

You get a domain with that, email address's and your own PO Box address. This fee is yearly. But once the company is registered you can then apply for up to 5 visa's under your company. Should you want to get any one else a residency visa.

The visa cost around another $1K and lasts 3 years and with it you will also get your UAE i.d. card.

Getting the visa is a complete ball ache of paper work and medical's with a trip to Fujairah for your eye scan and fingerprints.

So if you have the money to do it then this would be a much better option than feeling you have to marry some Taxi driver.
