Just a quick question! Its regarding accomodation. The Marina Residence or Al Mashaal, The Greens.
We are working near media city and safa park so they are both close enough.
We had decided on the greens as it was slightly bigger but the options are changing as the Marina appartments have been thrown into the equation.

They are smaller but is it a better location and style of flat? What do you think??

Can't comment on the Marina one as I don't know the building, but either location is good for where you work ... the Greens has a few restaurants and amenities. The Marina is nearer to hotels for nightlife and the Marina Walk has quite a few restaurants.

If the rents were around the same, I would go for the Marina one ...the Greens has a lot of construction going on around it and is always very dusty around there. Just make sure it is not the same at the Marina one.

I'd go for the Marina as well. Getting into or out of the Greens during the morning and evening peak periods is a disaster - that whole area has become a major bottleneck due to the stupid placement of the Salik gate.

The Marina will be just as bad if not worse once all those building fill up

if both places are around the same price
if both places are close to work

then just pick up a coin

although i think the Greens would be better

The Marina isn't crowded, though. Typically, it's estimated to be 70% unoccupied. Yes, if and when it fills up the roads will probably grind to a halt, but right now and probably for the next few years (at least) traffic won't be much of an issue. Whereas the traffic problem at the Greens is very much part of the here and now

Seriously, unless you can get the Greens for a whole lot less, go for the Marina and spare your sanity

I agree with Eeyore- the traffic at the Marina is nowhere near as bad as the Greens and hopefully by the time it is the metro will have taken some of the heat off. Living at the Marina could save you 20-30 minutes of driving time each way, every day.
