IT Manager or IT Project Manager Position - Help...
 

Hi,
I am thinking of moving to Dubai for few years. I am currently in US working in IT Industry as Technical Lead position(CRM & ERP). I have overall 15 years experience in IT in different positions. Can anybody tell me as to what are the chances of finding an IT Manager or IT Project Manager position and what salary can I expect. Also is there any chance of finding the job while staying here and attending the Interview through Phone. I can come for personal Interview if required.

You will likely find it tough getting this type of work for a good package now, you're competing with people from the sub-continent who will work for far less wonga.

If you work in a niche area of you could be OK - for example, SAP (some oil companies here pay big money for SAP consultants).

Best way is to get an internal transfer if your current company has a presence here?

Thanks to everyone for the help. I think I'll better try from US itself instead of coming there and find the job. Want to minimize the risk.
