Which Mall to visit?
Hi There.
I want to visit Dubai for a day in one of the Malls, so which one would be best.
Needs to have a decent Electronics shop for him indoors, while I'm clothes shopping, I cant stand it when he sits outside giving me ''the look''.
A cupcake shop.
A decent Italian place to eat..not food court crap.
A Paris Gallery, I need a new bottle of perfume and I think they are the only stockists..Maybe Harvey Nics might tho.
And a nice cutesy baby clothes shop, so I can buy my new grandaughter some pink, but not frilly OTT clothes.
And before anyone says anything, dont DARE suggest EW for an answer..not a member, and dont want to be.

Dubai Mall- definately! Best mall by miles, electronics on top floor, loads of kids shops also on top floor and Bloomingdales for perfume. Dubai Festival city is also very good and has a Paris Gallery and some nice kids shops- not so good for electronics but there is the big electronic shop next to Ikea there. Foods not as good a choice as Dubai Mall though. Carluccios at Dubai mall is very nice and you can sit outside and watch the water display. But as a woman I would say Dubai mall by far!

I would say either Dubai Mall or Festival City, probably Dubai Mall as it is bigger and a huge variety of shops.

Thanks everyone..sounds like it's going to be Dubai Mall.
Is the fish tank still open, can we go and visit?
Is there a cupcake shop?
MM..whats closed due to flooding? Do you mean the observation Deck..I wouldn't even attempt it even if they paid me. lol
Are the fountains on during the day?
Festival city sounds great..How do we get there from Abu Dhabi? I know where Wafi is, Mercato, Global village and Jumeirah beach..is it anywhere near these?
Not sure Bloomingdales would sell the perfume I use, Def has to be Paris Gallery or Faces.

Cupcake shop is in the lower ground level close to the damn Italian place everyone's talking about here. It's called Magnolia bakery. It's inside the Bloomingdale's homeware store, just as you walk through the entrance. Had a cupcake from there. Very good.

Bloomingdales has a cupcake shop on the basement level- normally a big queue- I haven't had one but they are meant to be awesome!
I don't drive but DFC is over Gahoud bridge and to the right, I think it's sign posted from there.
I think the fish tank is open, might be worth packing a rain mac just in case!
Have fun!

Festival City would be our choice if Dubai Mall is a no-no because it's too big:

Lovely at the moment - weather's great for sitting outside at a cafe for coffee or lunch or whatever. Plug-Ins isn't brilliant but not bad, and a good-sized Paris Gallery.
Not too difficult to get to: get onto Al Khail Road (E44, perhaps where it starts at the junction with Emirates Road?), keep going straight towards Business Bay then follow the signs to Festival City.

agree, dubai mall has everything...carluccio's is fab and, as kitty says, has amazing view of the fountains/burj khalifa...however, it is closed for a couple of weeks as it was flooded in the recent rain...

Mall of Emirates for me, I think it's the best one.
