Hi all

I am looking for a fully furnished 2 B/R villa or apartment for short term rent - 4 months. Starting date will be aroung end of July or early of August. The renter will be a British proffesional working in Abu Dhabi - married with 2 children. Please email me your details and contact numbers to [email protected].

sorry but think you will struggle with this request. i think you would need to be looking at the hotel suites/apartments that are here. you are not allowed to rent short term as its illegal, only 1 year at a time, the best you could get is perhaps a 'house sit'. but again thats not legal if money is changing hands.

Hmmm.. I thought it's OK - as in Dubai there are lots of offers for short-term Holiday Villa or short-term villa/apartment rental. Is it illegal if it's rented in certain way?

there are rules regarding short term lets, only in hotel suite/apartments etc building i think. yes they are advertised in dubai because its more touristy, but abu dhabi is different. to rent a place here, most people have to use the hotel suites etc, no short term lets privately in abu dhabi or you commit to a contract for 1 year, perhaps a landlord will do 6 months but not a month to month basis (but wouldnt count on it), some companies may have a villa already which they put their people in while househunting etc.
