Default Looking for job in Middle East

Hi guys

I am new here so just getting used to the site. I am a chartered QS with UK degree and some experience in UK and in Mauritius, about 9 years total, mainly main contracting but also consultants. I am finding it really hard to get an opening in middle east amidst all the agencies, some who turned out to be fake. Also applied directly to companies., Haven't heard anything yet. Any suggestions of how to look for a job in the region? ( I not not British resident though)

It is difficult without some ME experience, and even though you are doing the right things, luck and persistence has a lot to do with the results. You may want to consider remote working which would give you an advantage as competition in the popular spots like Dubai and Abu Dhabi is fierce. I suggest you create a page on GULF TALENT and/or NAUKRIGULF (the former is more Building related with the latter Engineering bias) and download the app. You can then search by discipline, country, and city and filter accordingly. Once you see something you like, you can apply on the app and will receive an email receipt. TIP - For best results apply where there is a note that ME experience is not essential. Good luck.
