I suppose it depends on who you work for. Little Jimmy has just left Dubai and he was a QS but he said the package was crap.

Check out this site - has about 70 jobs Quantity Surveyor jobs listed......
http://www.totaljobs.com/JobSearch/R...dubai&Radius=5
Salaries appear to be between AED 30k and AED 35k a month - would be a struggle for a newcomer - especially if you're married with kids and without a 2nd income

Re: Looking for a job
Not for newcomers who have no protection from greedy landlords - first time renters are bearing the brunt of high rents. Whilst salaries have remained stagnant for a lot of people, at least they're not paying atrocious rents that landlords are now asking (hopefully).
Wonder what the government will do as Dubai is increasingly getting very unattractive for doing business with costs skyrocketing.
Buying property (both residential and commercial) at these ridiculous prices is no longer an option - who can afford mortgages?

Skeleton, don't let the negativism here deswade you from coming. When people come to Dubai and experience failure, they tend to pin the blame on everything but themselves. I'm not mentioning any names.
