True...but it depends on what one wants, right? I wouldn't spend it, but 850 is very good value for that place - I hate the ads, but the service and the quality is not bad at all, definitely worth the spend if someone wants a top-class hotel.

I agree...not seen the rooms though but been inside a few times and it all looks lovely...and a nice bar on the 63th floor...

850 would be fine, but babysitting and shaded pool much better :-)
thanks guys & gals - will keep hunting
I'm just so bloody uninspired at the moment lmao
I need a holiday but where on earth do you go from here with a 3 year old and a 2 year old - both boys that have insane amounts of energiser bunny energy and do. not. stop.
God no way am I having a third.

Does it have to be in Dubai - some near Fujeriah (and closer to Oman) that are very nice and family friendly - I really liked JAL Fujeriah and they were reasonable with good pools and a choice of restaurants... there is alos Al Aqah and Rotana hotels there too - maybe they will be reasonable prices?
Everything else is spot on and good value.

nice hotel restaurants/bar would be a definite plus - get away from the kids for a few hours but without being worried about being stuck in traffic
