Travel Agent - yep and they are useless! Problem is some of them just about know where London is on the map.

Was just about to try Expedia - they are usually goo. The Hotel Club is throwing up lots of suspect places like YHA St Pauls Hostel

Don’t remind me of snow and London. When I worked there the tubes came to a standstill because of some snow. We had to disembark at St Johns Wood and I had to walk all the way to West Hampstead as all the taxis were full. I was hanging on to lamp posts etc as I was going round corners as it was so slippy. I had almost made it home and then when going down my road I felt flat on my bum!

Give me sunshine any day

For hotels, try www.lastminute.com as they have some really good deals.

Prices should come in at around £150 for somewhere decent with them. Higher rates now for summer. You can save a packet by doing it short notice as hotels just want to fill rooms.

And if you want high prices, try at least £1.50 for a small bottle of water at many places!

I want to try out www.easyhotel.com next time I need a place to crash if all my mates are suddenly out of town... it's a no-frills Stelios special, with just a bed and a toilet/shower. No 'extras' like TV (+GBP 10 per day), plug sockets, sheets changed (+GBP extra) etc.
