looking at the video, it seems they decided to open with a gay night. That’s probably the real reason the license was revoked.

Men dancing on a pool stage to ... other men. More sausage than the freezer section at Costco.

I'm not sure how that's been allowed to carry on in both those venues to be honest . They must have some Jedi style Wasta that's for sure .

The very, very few places I've been into have been borderline terrified of the rozzers inspecting them that they've worked hard to abide by the rules whilst still maximising their takings (which I don't have any issues with at all).

Back in the office today. Told we've got to wear masks all day. Managed to ignore it last time but this time there's more people in and it appears you actually have to comply. Think I'll last until lunch time and then leave.

Re: Lockdown

In the last week what we have been hearing about the US is how many "cases" they have, that there is a spike and the situation is out of control and so on

The death toll yesterday was less than 300, the lowest it has been since late March...…

Not a single media outlet will mention this bit to you.

When deaths were high, the headlines were "record number of deaths"
When cases are high, and deaths are lower, the headlines focus on "cases"

It would appear that the control of infection rates is out of control in some states. This sounds newsworthy to me, at least insofar as it implies either a) the US is failing to control infections, or b) the US isn't trying to control infections, because it doesn't think it matters (due to low death rates). Either of those implications are worthy of discussion and investigation imho.

Is this because we like the data or because we are genuinely worried about the disease? It’s really coming out as not much worse than a bad flu season but this time we have the tools and inclination to track it.
