Never been to al ain so what a better way to arrive for the first time....
With an aching ass.
Anyway, ill be there at about midday, I expect you all to turn out and offer me love, support, food, beer and more than likely a defibulator..
Cheers

Re: Living in Al Ain
Just to let everyone in the group know I have had a VERY positive experience with a new GP - Dr Solomon Chatterjee - at the NMC Specialist hospital located on Shakhboot St between Al Ain hospital and the Islamic institute. He was very professional, thorough and his English is superb. The hospital hasn't been open long so there are no long waiting times (until this post gets read by a few people!)I also met a cardiologist from the same hospital for a scan and he provided a service that left me very confident of his ability. Both are Indian doctors. The labs were also quick and efficient and appeared to me to be providing a good service. I am an ex-trained nurse so I think my assessment is at least reliable however I provide no guarantees (of course).
I have no connection to the hospital other than as a patient so no vested interest in posting this other than to spread the word about a good service, in my humble opinion.
I got sick of trying to find parking near Al Noor Hospital and had heard from a friend that this new hospital was good, so I thought I would try it out.

Court case - outcome???
Wondering how the fellow looking for the lawyer fared in court? There certainly are times when I have been tempted.....so I know how you feel. I hope it went as well as could be expected and better than you hoped for.
BTW - I was lone female driving down to Dubai from Al Ain this week at about 10.30 am and was stalked on the road - you know the overtaking and then dropping back and then speeding up and keeping the car next to you while you drive along. I studiously ignored the 2 men in the other car but obviously they wanted my attention and continued with their antics for quite some time despite my ignoring them. I slowed right down to about 60 kl/hr and they got sick of the game and took off. It does give you a bit of a fright though. I can certainly tell you I really did want to make rude signs and shout abuse! I think I'll wear a Shayla next time and hide my blonde hair - it seems to be a bloody magnet for attention despite my obvious maturity!

Re: Living in Al Ain
and you have got beautiful blond hair as I know
Hope everything goes the way you want it in court, it is so frustrating and can fully understand your gut reaction which it would have been but a very hard lesson learnt. Good luck for a good outcome

Thanks for the recommendations for the NMC Hospital. I might go for a poke around this week. I have noticed that there is never any cars in the parking lot so it's nice to know that it actually is open and has competent staff.

Not in court till next week but have appointed a lawyer now. He seems more optimistic than one we spoke to last night. Fingers crossed.
