Just got back from seeing U2 and all anyone was talking about was the Live 8 concerts on July 2nd. Anyone know if and where the concerts will be shown on big screens in Dubai?

Not sure if they will be shown at all.....Bob G is trying to stop the big screen in Hyde Park......doesn't want any freebies given out......

I heard last night that MBC4 have exclusive rights in the Gulf to air this and that it will be shown at 17h00 Dubai time on MBC 4 on Saturday... :rolleyes:

Would this be a good time to mention that I once saw them playing at a friend's party about 15 years ago (possibly earlier - was the Rattle and Hum era).

There were only around 200 people there.

You lucky lucky person you...

... even more lucky than me, who yesterday won VIP tickets to Live 8 in London - yippee...!

... unfortunately I couldn't get a flight within budget, and have a big work commitment on Sunday, so I have given my tickets to my Mum and brother. Which means my Mum will see U2 twice in 2 weeks... and how lucky is that?!

I'm green with envy, but what can you do?

And back to original question - thanks for TV information, but where in Dubai can we music fans gather and watch Live 8 on a big screen all together? Are Irish Village or any of the other usual suspects doing anything?
