Life in Sharjah?
Hey guys and girls,
I have an interview with a school in Sharjah, just trying to find out what sort of place it is and whether anyone on here is currently there. If so is it an alright place to live? I understand its pretty strict compared to other places but other than that? If anyone knows anything about the Wesgreen International School that would also be a great help.

Now there is an oxymoron....
Never really put the words life and Sharjah in the same sentence....

I don't know Sarjah well, but from quite a few visits and based on what I've heard from people who live there:
Horrendous traffic jams at most hours, narrow streets, difficult to get around, very crowded malls/public areas, electricity blackouts in the middle of summer, lack of general development, all roads closed/blocked when it rains....
Other than that, its fine Has some lovely museums and other cultural stuff, a fair bit of history too (relatively speaking, of course). Just difficult to get in and out off, and difficult to get around once you're there.

Its rather like Manningham Lane in Bradford but without the incessant rain.

Apostrophe's are over-rated. Now the ¬ character, on the other hand, is sorely neglected.
