Ok folks - just as a way for all the new people out there to get to know everyone whose been here a while, tell us how long you've been here, if not here when are u coming or when u left and where you lived before.

Off and on i've been here since the mid 80s - come from the South of the Uk,

Hate the heat in summer, love it in winter.

I'm here with the job and will go where it takes me - I can take or leave Dubai.

I just returned from a 2 week visit to Dubai--but will move there in December.

Never live in Dubai. Only been there for short break or passing through.

Moving there in a few weeks. Currently in Bournemouth UK, and have been to Dubai a fair few times on visa runs from Saudi.

will be nice to meet up with you guys as i will know no-one !!

My regional office is Dubai, but my work will take me throughout the region

Bournemouth! Where abouts? I lived there for a few years, very pleasant. Now in Dubai.

We are a great bunch, jump in and have fun.

Been living down here for 12 years.
Was in Canford Cliffs for a while, then LittleDown and Queens park.
Still is very nice but at weekends it is full of "Chavs" on stag weekends etc

Though originally from Portsmouth, I found Bournemouth one of the nicest places for myself and my daughter.

I lived in Muscliff and know LittleDown pretty well.

Well as u already know, I was born here and have never lived anywhere else...... summer heat can be annoying, but remember that we llive in an air conditioned environment anyway........ Traffic is just stupid now.... no point in whinging about that........

and as for maids (I cant resist TS! LOL), my Mum has had 10+ maids in the past 8 yrs or so......thats as far back as I can remember....... we dont have a live in, just someone who comes in once in a while to help with chores...... so gruesome stories I am afraid. LOL....... I once fired one myself though:eek:, last year cos she was being rude to Mum...... so I asked her to " get the hell out!"..... I have never fired anyone b4..... just incase u were wondering LOL

Then you will have to do ironing, make your bed, wash your own car, and even cook!!! That would be hard work for you.... lol....

lived in abu dhabi from baby to 10 yrs then visited for yrs then didnt.
now coming back to stay woohoo.
