yeah...it's open and is actually better than the one in the madinat...it's in the souk...as you enter, it's the first floor, bear left and it's at the end, just before the mango tree (which is a fab thai restaurant, btw...)

Rockbottom and a number of other bars in Dubai operate racist door policies...if you don't look white or are not with loads of white people you have to pay to enter.

What makes it worse is that most of the bouncers are Indian and Middle Eastern!

2 mates were refused entry to Jam Base on Wednesday night, bouncers said they have to be with some lasses.

They found a couple of ladies (of the night) mooching around outside, gave them 100dh each to go in with them. Bouncers didn't bat an eyelid, let them straight in.
