KSA Offer

Hi all

I've just been given an offer and wanted to see if this is considered "good" in comparison to other expats and for the cost of living in the KSA?

Basic Salary
38,000 SAR per month (456K SAR per annum)

Mobile Allowance
1,500 SAR per month

Relocation Package
75,000 SAR One-off lump sum
60 days accommodation on arrival

Others
VIP Medical Insurance
Life Insurance
Gym allowance
1 x Business flight back to UK per year

Any advice on negotiations and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Might help if you give some context about the job and your experience etc etc etc. Is the offer in writing ?

Should be receiving the written offer by tomorrow but was told that the offer letters often only say the basic salary and the allowances and bonus arent shown? Is this normal?

I have worked in the industry for 10 years and the level of this role woukdbe Senior Associate. The uplift is 30% of my current salary.

Is this your first time in the Mid East?

Where will you be based?

How you researched housing costs?

Do you have any dependents?

Big advice...do not compare to "other expats".

Hi HostAction,

I've recently gone through an offer process to so can share my experience.

My offer letter had my basic salary, allowances and bonus on it. When employment contract came through it was then easy to reference everything back to the offer letter.

For comparison purposes and to help you negotiate, my package included:
  • Basic Salary
  • Bonus
  • Housing Allowance
  • Transport Allowance
  • Schooling Allowance (I'm relocating with kids)
  • Dependents fee (for wife and kids)
  • 1 economy flight home per year for whole family
  • Relocation allowance (one months salary, paid with first months salary)
  • Moving of household goods via Kinetix (no specific limit/value mentioned in the offer, but is in addition to the allowance above)
  • 2 x 7day home finding trips
  • Private medical for family
  • Employer pension contributions
  • Xmas/Boxing day/new years/easter off, in addition to KSA national holidays
Hope that helps!

Certainly seek clarity as outlined above. All extras should be made clear.

Riyadh especially is becoming quite pricey, especially on the housing front.

sounds like it is from a financial institution. I think it is decent for senior associate level (per my research and benchmarking). Is it in Riyadh or Jeddah (or where?).

congrats on the offer
