KSA Final Exit - Close bank account if returning?
Hi,
I am going on final exit in a couple of weeks time and returning on a new VISA, do I need to close my bank account?
I heard it is possible to keep it open (though it may get frozen) and update the bank with the new Iqama details once processed.
Has anyone done this and can confirm either way?

Bank account is linked to Iqama. If you do not periodically let the bank see your Iqama, the account will be frozen.

Hi. Why take the risk? Empty the account apart from Sar 5 and then your worst case is to open a new account.

Hi, I planned to empty the account, I was more concerned that I will not be able to leave without closing it.

Hi. No issue to leave whilst having an open bank account. Your company will probably write to the bank telling that they will be sending a final settlement so that the bank can try to recoup any loans, but that is all. I have just come back on a new visa and I am using the same bank ac. Enjoy your break.
