Kandora and Baseball Caps

My new friend Mohammad wears my favorite baseball team's cap, Detroit Tigers with his Kandora, or I think also called a dis das. We got into a spirited debate about wearing a baseball cap with a kandora, I told him it looks funny, he claims I have no sense of style. I was trying to figure out why this looks so wrong, and I compared it to wearing a business style suit with a baseball cap. Mohammad and his family will be visiting us in the States this summer, I think they will have a great time. Anyway, have been making some great new friends since I have been here, too bad I have to be heading home soon :(

love the kandora...hate the baseball cap. But then I hate baseball caps on anyone...

What's still a mystery to me is how they keep those kandoras sooooo dazzling white...

Re: Kandora and Baseball Caps

Erm - they bleach them.

The baseball cap is an expression of identity in a uniform culture.

The problem is that when everyone does it, it then becomes an expression of uniformity.

Same thing happens with Hong Kong teenagers.

They're just pretty careful, do you have a problem keeping your white clothes white for one day?
