Just landed
I have arrived in Dubai a week ago. My husband works quite long hours, is there any groups I could join. I'm 49, interested in making friends and keeping busy.

I'm in Al Barsha. I lived in the south of Cyprus near Aiya Napa. I like anything artistic really. I make silver and gold jewellery but all my tools are in England.

It's not as 'cute' as it sounds and they are genuinely nice people with a wicked sense of humour. Perhaps go along to a class?
Get a copy of Time Out as that usually lists lots of things to do as well as various social groups.

You must get to know Blue Cat, who lives nearby and also dabbles in jewellery making I believe. She will insist that you visit the next Arte Souk at Times Square. Check out their site.
