Jumeirah Group - pay
How well does the Jumeirah Group pay? Does anybody have figures to share regarding Director level positions? It would be a great help to have an idea. Are they good people to work for? High turnover of staff?
When they make an offer, is it negotiable?
In the Emirates, do they provide their employees free accommodation? What is it like?
Apart from salary, what sort of benefits package do they have? BIg bonus? Pension scheme?
I hope to hear from you soon!

They seem to be very good, I have some friends who work for them, there is staff accomodation and bonus schemes, they seem to have a set salary scale with regular promotions and incentives. The people I know are all very happy working for them.

Re: Jumeirah Group - pay
Hi, I used to work for Jumeirah in London at The Carlton Tower and lowndes hotels. They are an excellent company in the sense that within Dubai, Middle East etc they are a well received brand and have had a fair amount of market share of the hotel business going into Dubai over the last 6-7 years+.
I still have friends who work for them now who moved from the UK. The good thing is that like most hotel companies they provide accommodation, bills are paid for such as gas, water, electric etc, you are responsible for telephone. Salarys are basic but there are bonus schemes in place to top up your salary depending on which department you work in.
I have just literally(xmas day) moved to Abu Dhab to work for Intercontinental hotels within sales and marketing so bonus schemes are in place for sales and i have all the perks listed above plus food allowance, car allowance and dry cleaning allowance so you actually have most of your bills taken care of.
What deptartment do you work in?
Hope that helps.

It would be a position in HR, working for the group, rather than one of their units.
I am glad they pay for water.

It has since had a massive refurbishment which has improved the product for the end user/traveller. I agree, nice hotel with very attentive service.

Is a 150,000 annual accommodation allowance going to get something nice, not too far from Academic City?
What is the best way to get the most bang/buck when finding a place to rent there? Walk up and down knocking on doors or going to an online agent?(recommendations / links please
Jumeirah 2 months ago introduced a pension scheme. There are 7.5% contributions, if that makes sense to you. In case anybody is curious, the job includes nexcare health insurance and the bottom of this A band position is 17,000.
What the top is, what the bonus is like, who knows...

150k is a damn site more than I get but its not going to get you a big family villa. If you just need a 1 or 2 bed apartment you will be able to choose where you live. International City is on the door step and probably the best value rent in Dubai but its out of the way and does have a bit of an odour problem at times. You'd be able to get a very decent apartment in the CBD area there though and still have change! The CBD is the only area where buildings have good facilities such as swimming pools
