Joining a Doha School Mid Year
 

I have been in Doha about 4 weeks now and been trying to get my son into a school (he is currently back in the UK). Today I found a school that has a place in his year, but the told me a bit of a bombshell, that I had not heard anywhere before.

They said that, under Supreme Education Council guideline, no child can be enrolled into a school during the school year and that I would have to wait until September to get him a place.

Now I have never heard this before from my HR and to be honest it would have been a big factor in me accepting the job? Does anyone know if this is actually true or not? Surely lots of parents come to Doha mid year?

Not heard that one before. My kids school seem to have children coming and going all through the year.
