Joiner in Abu Dhabi
We are thinking of relocating to Abu Dhabi Im a Joiner by trade and from carryiing out my research it looks like most of the work is carried out by cheap labour.
Does anyone know of the need for perhaps self employed joiners or if I advertised to expats is their a need?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
thanks
Jason

bit like the other thread, trades people won't make any money unless your management...so probably not worth it...

For sure there are massive projects ongoing here requiring your skills and expertise however the majority workforce in all trades are from developing countries on paltry wages.EC Harris and Laing O'Rourke are big movers along with Aldar.Maybe worth dropping them a cv.
The concept of 'call out' rates is unkown here and most expats have a handy Mohammed to do small jobs.Have you tried the Colleges re Tutor/Lecturing in technical subjects???.Sorry but think you maybe be struggling.....maybe think of a change of career.Look at Etihad.com.....lots of positions being advertised.Good Luck.
